Gazi Husrev-beg's Sarajevo, 1600
This is Sarajevo at the height of its Ottoman endowment city: a concentrated complex of mosques, endowed markets, caravanserais and civic gifts around the Miljacka. The walk moves from the river and the outer approaches into the Baščaršija quarter, through market alleys, caravan courtyards and the clock-tower, finishing on the fortified ridges that frame the city.
