Emley Moor transmitting station is a reinforced-concrete telecommunications tower on Emley Moor near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. The present tapered concrete tower is topped by a steel lattice mast and houses equipment rooms and service areas; it began transmitting in 1971 and remains the tallest freestanding structure in the United Kingdom.
