Hill of Crosses
The Hill of Crosses is an open-air Catholic pilgrimage site about 12 km north of Šiauliai in northern Lithuania where thousands of crosses, crucifixes and religious effigies have been placed over generations. The landmark is a walkable hilltop crowded with wooden and metal crosses of many sizes, from tiny rosary-sized crosses to tall posts and large carved crucifixes. Pilgrims continue to visit and add votive objects to the site.

Sizes vary from tiny handheld crosses and hanging rosaries to tall posts and a prominent carved wooden crucifix on the summit.
