Donamon Castle, properly Dunamon, Dún Iomáin, stands on raised ground overlooking the River Suck in County Roscommon and is one of the oldest inhabited buildings in Ireland. It was the seat of the Ó Fionnachta chiefs of Clann Chonnmhaigh, one of the two main branches of that Connacht family.

During the seventeenth century a junior branch of the Caulfeild family came to own the castle and its surrounding territory, and held it throughout the Protestant Ascendancy. Continuously reused and altered across the centuries, the castle today presents a compact rectangular main block with a taller castellated tower and a round turret.

Adam de Staunton fortified the site in 1232, but the native O'Connors retook and demolished that structure the following year.
