Rocca delle Caminate
Rocca delle Caminate is a medieval castle in Meldola, Emilia-Romagna, built in the 10th century, later given to Benito Mussolini and used as his summer residence. In 1927 a lighthouse was added to the exterior and the building served for political meetings during the 1930s–1940s; it was also a site where members of the Italian resistance were detained and abused. After World War II the castle was partly damaged and its furnishings removed.

The shape it held in its prime.
A medieval stone rocca of compact massing located near Meldola in Emilia-Romagna, with intact pitched roofs and masonry façades at its 1939 peak. A modern lighthouse tower was attached to the exterior and operated whenever Mussolini was in residence. Window openings held glass panes and shutters, and the castle sat above nearby approaches with a paved entrance and an internal courtyard leading to the main residential block and service areas.
