Naval Air Station Keflavik
Naval Air Station Keflavik (NASKEF) was a United States military air station at Keflavík Airport on Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula, operating from World War II through the Cold War into the early 21st century. It served as a NATO forward base for air defence, patrol and transport operations before US forces withdrew in 2006 and the site was handed to Icelandic authorities for redevelopment.
