Osowiec Fortress is a late 19th‑century Russian polygonal fortress complex in north‑eastern Poland, built to guard a river crossing and the Białystok–Królewiec rail line. The defensive system comprises several forts (Central/Fort I, Zarzeczny/Fort II, Szwedzki/Fort III, Nowy/Fort IV) with brick casemates, barracks and service buildings; it played a notable role during World War I. Today parts are ruins, others are preserved and partially open to visitors.

A long, low red‑brick fort façade with a dominant central semicircular carriage arch flanked by smaller arched doorways and windows; patterned corbelled brick cornices, dentil bands and rectangular recessed panels run along the roofline. The arch interior is white‑rendered and barrel‑vaulted, opening onto a wide grassy glacis with woodland behind. Brickwork is even and fresh, mortar lines crisp, and door and window openings fitted with timber or iron doors and shutters.
