The shape it held in its prime.

A massive, tiered skyscraper of light-coloured stone and concrete with a tall central tower that rises through stepped setbacks to a square clock/turret and a long slender spire. Vertical bands of narrow windows and recessed pilaster-like bays run the tower's height; ornate parapets, pinnacles and sculptural groups crown the lower terraces. A broad, columned main entrance sits at the base, and the building stands framed by modern high-rises in the background.
