Lajes Field (Air Base No. 4) is a multi-use military airfield on Terceira Island in the Azores, used by the Portuguese Air Force and as a U.S. military detachment and regional passenger terminal. The site comprises a long runway and associated aprons, support buildings and a passenger terminal set on a flat coastal plain overlooking the Atlantic.
