The Château de Biron is a hilltop castle in the valley of the Lède in Biron, Dordogne, France. Its fabric includes a twelfth-century keep, extensive sixteenth-century residential ranges, a chapel and vaulted kitchens; the commune purchased it for restoration in 1978 and it has been a listed monument historique since 1928.

A compact hilltop ensemble of warm beige-brown masonry: a massive square keep and assorted round and square towers linked by high curtain walls, a broad three- to four-storey residential block with steep slate roofs and rows of tall windows, and a larger chapel-like mass with a bulbous, almost bell-shaped roof and buttressed walls. The complex sits on a gentle grassy rise above a meadow, with smaller outbuildings and village houses clustered against the outer wall.

The Château de Biron crowns a hilltop in the valley of the Lède in the Dordogne. It is the castle from which the Gontaut-Biron family took their name, and their seat from the twelfth century; the fabric still includes a twelfth-century keep alongside extensive sixteenth-century residential ranges, a chapel and vaulted kitchens.
Biron was seized by the Cathars in 1211 and retaken by Simon de Montfort, 5th Earl of Leicester, the following year, and the Plantagenets held it at times during the 14th and 15th centuries. A listed monument historique since 1928, it was purchased by the commune in 1978 for restoration.
