As it stood in 1860
The shape it held in its prime.
A long, rectilinear pale stone or stuccoed main block with a crenellated parapet and a raised, paved terrace running along the façade; a prominent Gothic Revival loggia of slender columns and trilobed arches sits on the principal elevation. A regular rhythm of tall pointed-arch windows and doors with carved tracery punctuates the wall. Low stone balustrades with classical urns line the terrace; a small square stair-turret or corner tower anchors one end. Trees and parkland sit close by.
