The shape it held in its prime.
Massive, multi-winged stone residence with a strongly vertical silhouette: steep, red-pitched roofs, dozens of conical and pyramidal spires, and numerous round and polygonal towers including one very tall cylindrical tower at the right. Facades are light-coloured masonry with arched windows and decorative cornices. A glass-roofed orangery/ conservatory projects from the lawned forecourt. The castle sits within a large park; the main axis and avenues lead up to the building and a small pond with an islet lies to one side.
