The shape it held in its prime.
A mid-19th-century castellated manor of variegated grey and buff stone with prominent crenellated parapets and dressed dark quoins. The composition has a projecting tall polygonal tower at the left façade and a three-storey rectangular tower/wing at the right, connected by a long crenellated range with regularly spaced mullioned windows. A low battlemented porch surrounds the main arched entrance; a glazed conservatory projects from the lower left; building sits on level ground with surrounding parkland.
