Lyme Park is a large country estate in Cheshire centred on a 16th‑century mansion surrounded by formal gardens and an extensive deer park. The house combines Elizabethan fabric with 18th‑ and 19th‑century remodelling and contains named rooms, galleries and a courtyard open to visitors.

A broad three‑storey sandstone mansion set against rolling parkland and a lakeside lawn. Walls alternate coursed buff rubble and ashlar sandstone; roofs are Welsh slate. The south front has a nine‑bay piano nobile with a three‑arch rusticated base, four giant fluted Ionic columns and a triangular pediment bearing lead statues; the north face is a symmetrical 15‑bay elevation with a central arched gateway. A rusticated cloister surrounds a cobbled courtyard with an Italianate well‑head; formal parterres, a sunken Dutch Garden and a nearby pond and stone bridge sit within the surrounding deer park.
