RAF Northolt
RAF Northolt is a Royal Air Force station in South Ruislip, west London, in continuous military use since 1915. It served as an active fighter station during the Second World War (notably in the 1940 Battle of Britain) and has a cluster of operational buildings, hangars and a concrete runway. The station remains an active RAF base and VIP transport hub.

Low brick operations and watch buildings sit close to corrugated metal hangars whose fronts were disguised to resemble suburban houses and gardens; surrounding suburban rooftops press close to the airfield, and wartime ground equipment and personnel animate the ramps.
