What Daugava Stadium looked like in its prime.

Low, elongated stadium bowl with a red synthetic 400 m eight-lane track encircling a rectangular green football pitch. The western main stand is a long concrete block with a glass-fronted level of enclosed rooms and a higher tier of blue plastic seating; north and south end stands continue the blue seating. Tall lattice steel floodlight towers mark the corners. Nearby low-rise sports halls and an ice-hall sit adjacent to the stadium footprint.
