The shape it held in its prime.

A compact 30,000-seat bowl cut into a quarry: steep, tiered concrete stands on either side of a well-kept green pitch, one goal backdrop formed by the exposed brown rock face and the opposite end opening out to the city. Canopy-style roofs span each stand, thin steel cables linking roof edges to concrete ribs. Tall floodlight pylons rise above the bowl. Materials are raw pale grey concrete, weathered rock and bright green turf, set against a clear sky on a hillside.
