National Cathedral
The National Cathedral (People's Salvation Cathedral) is the Romanian Orthodox patriarchal cathedral on Spirea's Hill in Bucharest. A 133-metre-tall, multi-domed Byzantine-Revival church, it was built in the early 21st century and consecrated in stages, with its permanent opening and mosaic consecration completed in 2025.

A monumental, cream-coloured stone cathedral with a very large central dome flanked by four smaller domes, each topped with a cross and gilded cupolas. The façade stacks wide rounded arches, tall arched windows and a large arched stained-glass window above the main entrance; a broad flight of steps leads to a columned portico. Long colonnaded arcades and low pavilions with gilt roofs flank the forecourt. Interior surfaces are planned to be covered in extensive mosaic decoration and a wide wooden and gilded iconostasis spans the sanctuary.
