About 5 km are developed for visitors, including a guided route partly traversed by a cave train and exhibition spaces hosting the endemic olm and speleobiology displays.

A vast underground limestone gallery of beige-to-cream calcite: thick columns and paired stalactites and stalagmites, sheet-like draperies and flowstone that hang and cascade from the vaulted ceiling. Warm electric lamps punctuate the darkness, throwing pools of yellow light and deep shadows across damp rock and a low stone retaining wall beside a narrow paved walkway. A narrow-gauge electric train and platform occupy a flat floor area; occasional shallow black pools mark the underground river.
