Lezhë Castle (Kalaja e Lezhës) is a hilltop fortress overlooking the city of Lezhë in northern Albania. The site began as an Illyrian fortification and sits on a prominent rise above the plain and town below.

Perched on a rocky hill above the town, the castle is built of pale grey limestone rubble with some ashlar repairs; curtain walls of uneven height enclose an inner courtyard. The walls have a series of round-headed arched window openings and shallow niches cut into the thickness of the masonry. Low stone partition walls divide the interior courtyard space. At its prime the curtain would have been continuous with a walk along the wall and roofed halls behind the window openings.

Lezhë Castle crowns a hill dominating the city of Lezhë in northern Albania, its walls rising on a prominent height above the plain and town below. The fortress began as an Illyrian fortification, and its remains today stand in partial ruin.
The site carries one of the oldest recorded names in the country. The name of ancient Lissus first appears in connection with the foundation of a Parian-Sicilian colony on the island of Pharos and the alliance of 385 BCE between the Illyrian king Bardylis and Dionysius I the Elder, tyrant of Syracuse — Diodorus records that Dionysius 'had already dispatched a colony to the Adriatic not many years previously and had founded the city known as Lissus'.
