Rabenstein Castle

Compact hilltop castle built on exposed bedrock, dominated by a tall cylindrical bergfried at the west end with a dark, multi-faceted cap roof and a slender finial with weather vane; the main body is a continuous curved curtain wall of pale plastered masonry set directly on the rock, pierced by a neat row of small rectangular windows beneath a steep red clay-tile roof. A single arched wooden entrance lies at the rock line, with trees around the hill.
