Belton House
Belton House is a late 17th-century Carolean country house near Grantham in Lincolnshire, built for the Brownlow family and now owned by the National Trust. The H-shaped, two-storey-over-semi-basement mansion is set within formal gardens and a wooded park and is considered a complete example of the period's English country house.

A symmetrical H‑plan country house of two principal storeys over a low semi‑basement, faced in warm Ancaster ashlar with lighter quoining; broad stone steps lead to a central rusticated entrance beneath a pediment carved with the family crest. Regular tall sash windows punctuate the façade, attic dormer windows sit in the steep slate roof, a small glazed cupola crowns the roofline, and chimneystacks and a balustraded parapet run along the top. A clipped lawn stretches before the south front.
