Bolton Abbey

Bolton Abbey is a historic estate in Wharfedale centred on the remains of a 12th-century Augustinian priory and its surviving parish church, Bolton Priory. Much of the medieval monastic complex lies in partial ruin beside the River Wharfe, while the former priory gatehouse has been converted into a country house (Bolton Abbey Hall). The estate includes riverside paths, stepping stones, and extensive parkland open to visitors.
