Hillsborough Stadium is a football ground in Owlerton, Sheffield, which has been the home of Sheffield Wednesday since 1899. The ground is composed of four covered stands — a full-length cantilever North Stand, the brick-faced South (Grand) Stand, the two-tier West (Leppings Lane) Stand and the single-tier Spion Kop built into a hillside — surrounding a rectangular grass pitch beside the River Don. The stadium was substantially redeveloped for UEFA Euro 1996 and functions as an all-seater venue.
