St George's Chapel, Windsor
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle is a late-medieval Perpendicular Gothic royal chapel founded in the 14th century and substantially rebuilt in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. It is the spiritual home of the Order of the Garter and has long served for royal services, weddings and burials.

A long, horizontal Perpendicular-Gothic chapel of pale honey-coloured ashlar, with repeated tall mullioned-and-transomed traceried windows filling each bay. A crenellated parapet and closely spaced pinnacles run along the roofline, each topped by carved heraldic animals; corner octagonal turrets and a small domed pavilion mark the end bays. The façade sits behind a low stone retaining wall and clipped lawn; inside are high stone vaulted ceilings and clear, multicoloured stained-glass lights in deep window recesses.
