Kylemore Abbey is a large nineteenth-century country house and Benedictine monastery on an estate in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. Built as Kylemore Castle for Mitchell Henry and later converted into a convent and school, the site includes the main stone house, an attached Gothic chapel and family mausoleum, and extensive walled Victorian gardens.
