What Ħaġar Qim looked like in its prime.

Massive honey‑coloured globigerina limestone orthostats and lintels form a broad trilithon façade before a paved, irregular forecourt; a tall upright menhir rises behind the façade. The plan opens into an elongated oval central court paved with smooth, well‑set stone blocks, flanked by low semicircular apses and short connecting passages. Inside are low stone altars (some with pit‑marks), pierced door‑slabs and sculpted threshold features; masonry courses and complete lintels cap the walls, scale human-sized.
