What Letzigrund looked like in its prime.

An oval bowl stadium with a green rectangular football pitch encircled by a red athletics track; continuous tiers of red plastic seats rise from the track to a low cantilevered roof on the main side. Tall, slender angled steel floodlight masts ring the roofline and a large electronic scoreboard faces the pitch. Concrete and steel construction, broad open sightlines, and an illuminated playing surface at dusk characterise the stadium in its 2007 form.
