Bouzov Castle
Bouzov Castle is a hilltop castle in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, first mentioned in 1317 and substantially rebuilt in a Neo‑Gothic style around the turn of the 20th century. The complex is dominated by a tall central watchtower and a horseshoe arrangement of stone buildings that include ceremonial interiors such as a knights' hall, armoury and a neo‑Gothic chapel.

The shape it held in its prime.
A compact horseshoe of warm‑brown ashlar and rubble masonry buildings clustered around an eight‑storey cylindrical watchtower capped by a conical red‑tiled roof; multiple smaller towers and turrets with steep red tile roofs punctuate the roofline. Two long stone bridges cross a deep dry moat to a raised gate with a pointed arched entrance; an open arched gallery/loggia sits on the western facade, with battlements, oriel windows and small rectangular windows with shutters across the facades.
