The shape it held in its prime.
A compact, almost-square moated complex set on the eastern shore of a calm lake, dominated by a tall cylindrical bergfried with a rounded slate cap and weather vane rising directly from the waterline. Two-storied rendered wings with red-framed mullioned windows form the northern, western and southern sides of a central court; stepped gables punctuate the western facade. A smaller round turret with a curved roof and an attached stone outbuilding with a red-tiled roof sit at the water’s edge, all backed by dense forest.
