What Theobalds House looked like in its prime.

Low, flint-and-stone rubble wall fragments run roughly east–west along a grassy park lawn and paved path, punctuated by a tall pointed-arched opening and several smaller blind arches and niches. The surviving masonry is rough flint with ashlar dressings, mottled grey and weathered, with iron railings on the path edge and mature trees behind the wall.
