Uffington White Horse
The Uffington White Horse is a prehistoric hill figure cut into the upper slopes of Whitehorse Hill in Oxfordshire, formed from trenches filled with crushed white chalk. The figure is a long, stylised equine shape, about 110 metres long, visible across the Vale of White Horse and from the air. It is a scheduled monument managed by the National Trust.

A 110-metre-long stylised horse formed from deep, white chalk trenches set into a steep green chalk slope; the sinuous body, long neck and tapered head read as a continuous pale line from a distance. The figure lies on the upper slopes of the scarp, the white of crushed chalk contrasting with short, grazed green grass and the rolling pale-green-and-brown vale below. Visible best from across the vale or from high above, the figure sits exposed on the open hillside.
