The Hermannsdenkmal is a monumental statue of the Cherusci leader Arminius ("Hermann") standing on the Grotenburg hill near Detmold, Germany. The copper-clad figure rises on a round sandstone pedestal with a gallery of ten pillars and Gothic arches; the pedestal contains a spiral staircase and a circumferential viewing platform.
