What Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua looked like in its prime.

A broad, gabled brick façade punctuated by three deep recessed pointed arches with pale stone archivolts, an arcaded balcony across the upper front and a circular rose window with stone tracery at centre. Behind the gable rise a cluster of low hemispherical lead-clad domes and slim turret-like campanile towers. Warm terracotta brick walls contrast with white stone mouldings and bronze doors; the basilica stands on a wide paved piazza dominated by Donatello's bronze equestrian plinth.
