Quinta da Regaleira
Quinta da Regaleira is a Romantic-era manor house, chapel, and landscaped park near the historic centre of Sintra, Portugal, built between 1904 and 1910. The estate combines Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and other revival styles and contains decorative constructions, grottoes, tunnels and two ceremonial initiation wells. It is part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A multi-storey stone palace with a richly carved pale-grey façade, crenellated parapets, Gothic pinnacles, gargoyles and an octagonal tower punctuating the roofline; mullioned windows and small balconies sit over an arcaded ground-floor loggia. The building fronts a dense, landscaped park of lawns, mature trees, rockwork and ornamental stone constructions — including a freestanding carved pavilion — all executed in worked limestone and masonry and set against wooded slopes.
