Frederik's Church (Marmorkirken) is an Evangelical Lutheran parish church in the Frederiksstaden district of Copenhagen, noted for its large copper-clad dome and classical rotunda. The present church, completed to Ferdinand Meldahl's design, stands as a circular temple-like building with a columned east portico and a lofty lanterned dome that dominates the palace axis west of Amalienborg.

What Frederik's Church looked like in its prime.

A monumental circular rotunda of pale grey limestone and marble, topped by a broad copper-clad dome turned green with age and highlighted by gilded window frames and decorative trim. The east facade has a four-columned portico with a triangular pediment bearing a gold-lettered inscription; three tall green doors sit between heavy columns. A drum (tambour) with twelve rounded niches and a balustrade of vases surrounds the dome base, and a slender lantern with gilded filigree and a cross crowns the composition.
