Palais Garnier
The Palais Garnier is the 19th-century Paris opera house built for the Paris Opera between 1861 and 1875 and located on the Place de l'Opéra in Paris. It is a large, richly ornamented Beaux-Arts/Napoleon III style theatre that houses ceremonial halls, a grand staircase, foyers, rotundas and the opera auditorium, and also contains the Paris Opera Library–Museum.

A green patinated copper dome rises behind the attic cornice; multicoloured marble, porphyry touches and gilt bronze highlights punctuate friezes, pediments and balustrades across the 154.9 m long frontage.
