The Church of the Assumption of the Buda Castle, commonly called Matthias Church, is a late Gothic (with extensive 19th-century neo‑Gothic restoration) Catholic church on Holy Trinity Square in Budapest's Castle District. It is a landmark parish church and former coronation church notable for its tall bell tower, polychrome tiled roofs and richly carved Gothic stonework.

Broad, light-grey ashlar Gothic façade punctuated by tall pointed-arch lancet windows and a circular rose window, a soaring octagonal bell tower topped by an openwork, pinnacled spire with carved crockets, and steep polychrome diamond-tiled roofs in orange, green and yellow; carved stone tracery, pinnacles and gargoyles define the roofline. At ground level a high neo‑Gothic portal and the Baroque Holy Trinity plague column sit in front, the whole composition opening onto a paved square.
