Dalymount Park

Páirc Chnocán Uí Dhálaigh

Dalymount Park is a football stadium in Phibsborough on Dublin's northside and the long-time home of Bohemian F.C. Opened in 1901, it was Ireland's principal international venue through the mid-20th century and in its prime held very large crowds on three sides of open terracing with a single iron-and-wood main stand.

What Dalymount Park looked like in its prime.

At its 1957 peak Dalymount Park is an enclosed urban football ground ringed by continuous earthen and concrete terracing on three sides and a single iron-and-wood main stand on the fourth. The 1928 Leitch main stand is a riveted steel-and-timber structure with a shallow corrugated roof, wooden bench seating and a terraced standing area at its front. The west "Shed" end has a half-covered barrel-shaped awning over part of the terrace; a low perimeter wall and turnstile houses encircle the pitch.
