Pisa Cathedral (Cattedrale Metropolitana Primaziale di Santa Maria Assunta) is a medieval Romanesque cathedral in the Piazza dei Miracoli, Pisa. Built beginning in 1064 and consecrated in 1118, it presents a long nave with side aisles, an east apse with a crossing dome, and a richly arcaded marble façade facing the cathedral green.

A long, horizontally layered building of white and grey marble with four tiers of arcaded loggias on the west façade; three large portals framed by blind arches and heavy bronze door panels; a raised central nave with alternating dark and light marble banding supported on monolithic granite columns; an elliptical dome rising from the crossing; and a broad green lawn (Piazza dei Miracoli) stretching in front, the freestanding leaning bell tower visible to the east.
