What Glasgow Cathedral looked like in its prime.

A large medieval cruciform Gothic cathedral of dark weathered sandstone with a tall central tower and spire, buttressed nave and transepts, a three-bay west façade with a pointed-arch main entrance beneath tall grouped lancet windows and a circular rose tracery, and copper-green pitched roofs visible on the aisles and choir; the building sits on raised ground with a paved forecourt, low iron fencing and trees around the precinct.
