As it stood in 1720
The shape it held in its prime.
A long, three-storey rectangular Baroque palace with a flat roofline and small attic windows; the pale, plastered façade is arranged in a strict grid of tall sash windows each set in shaped stucco surrounds and topped with decorative window pediments. A central arched portal with a sculptural group above and two vertical banners marks the entrance. To the left is a low arcaded loggia of round arches. A high church spire rises behind the block. The building sits directly on a broad paved urban square.
