The shape it held in its prime.
A long, continuous grey-stone castle complex on the lakeshore, composed of connected wings, crenellated curtain walls and multiple towers of differing shapes and heights. A prominent circular drum bastion with a sloping base projects toward the lake; twin round towers flank the main entrance; an isolated taller square keep with flagpoles rises above the centre. Stone is weathered grey limestone; walls are partly covered in climbing ivy; lawns and formal plantings sit between the castle and the water.
