Monzie Castle
Monzie Castle is a castellated mansion near Monzie in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It incorporates an early 17th‑century L‑plan house (c.1634) and a larger late‑18th‑century castellated addition by John Paterson; the later interior was rebuilt after a 1908 fire.

A two-part, castellated country house of warm brown rubble stone set in wooded parkland: an original three-storey L‑plan wing with pedimented dormerheads and a pedimented west entrance, joined to a larger late‑18th‑century castellated block with a continuous crenellated parapet and rectangular sash windows. The roofline is dominated by a low parapet with raised merlon-like blocks; façades show regularly spaced tall windows and plain stone masonry. The house sits amid mature trees on gentle slopes and appears complete and roofed.

Monzie Castle splits visibly into two eras. The original rubble-walled, three-storey L-plan house carries the date 1634 on its pedimented entrance lintel, alongside three weathered heraldic shields and the initials of Graeme and his wife Marjory; a large ground-floor fireplace bears a swagged lintel carved with a heraldic panel and the same date.
The estate was sold to Colin Campbell of Lagvinshoch in 1666 and passed to his son Patrick Campbell, Lord Monzie. Between 1797 and 1800 the house was greatly enlarged in castellated style to designs by John Paterson, a pupil of Robert Adam; fire destroyed that later portion in 1908, and the present interior dates from the rebuilding that followed. Monzie is a category A listed building.
