Le Musée Rodin

The Musée Rodin is a Parisian art museum founded in 1919, housed primarily in the 18th‑century Hôtel Biron and its surrounding gardens, with a second site at Rodin's Villa des Brillants in Meudon. It conserves and displays the sculptures, drawings, photographs and antiquities collected and produced by Auguste Rodin, many presented both inside galleries and outdoors in the grounds.

Symmetrical 18th‑century hôtel particulier of pale cut limestone with a three‑bay central block capped by a triangular sculpted pediment and a high slate hipped roof with pyramidal corner pavilions. Tall arched French windows and wrought‑iron balcony open onto a raised stone terrace reached by broad steps. In front, a formal rectangular parterre with gravel cross‑paths leads to a circular reflecting basin containing a bronze figurative group; clipped hedges and mature trees frame the lawns.
