What Easter Road looked like in its prime.

A compact rectangular football bowl surrounded on four sides by stands: two-tier cantilevered Famous Five (north) and South stands with upper decks angled slightly inward, a two-tier West Stand with integrated glazing for reception, offices and hospitality, and a single-tier East stand (new in 2010). Seats are predominantly green; the playing surface is flat, closely mown with visible mowing strips, edged by a narrow perimeter and advertising band. Rooflines are low and cantilevered, giving an enclosed urban stadium silhouette.
