Halton Castle
Halton Castle is a pele tower with an attached manor house near Hadrian's Wall north of the village of Corbridge in Northumberland, England. The medieval tower survives and a later five-bay residence was appended to its north side; the site remains a private residence of the Blackett family and is a Grade I listed building.

Halton Castle is a pele tower close to Hadrian's Wall, north of the village of Corbridge in Northumberland. First recorded in 1382, the tower still stands — four storeys over a basement with a stone vault — and in the 15th century a manor house was built onto its north side, giving the whole a T-shaped plan.
In about 1696 the then owner John Douglas demolished much of that manor house and replaced it with the present five-bay residence. In 1757 Anne Douglas, the heiress of Halton, married Sir Edward Blackett, and the castle remains a residence of the Blackett family; it is a Grade I listed building.
