Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is a combined bascule and suspension bridge spanning the River Thames in London, completed in 1894. It comprises two tall stone-clad towers linked by two high-level walkways and a central pair of moveable bascules, with a roadway for pedestrians and vehicles across the spans.

Two massive Victorian Gothic towers of steel skeleton clad in Cornish granite and Portland stone rise from broad stone piers in the Thames, linked by horizontal high-level walkways and blue-painted steel suspension chains.
