Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a four-legged iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, built as the centrepiece of the 1889 Exposition Universelle. It has three public levels with restaurants on the first and second levels and an observation platform at the top, and it remains a working observation and communications structure.

The structure is visible as an open network of cross-braced girders and riveted members in a brownish iron finish, with decorative arches at the base and a glass pavilion on the first level.
