Winter Palace
The Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg is the large Baroque palace that served as the official residence of the Russian emperors and today forms the principal part of the State Hermitage Museum complex. The building presents an extended, symmetrical three‑storey façade along Palace Square and the Neva embankment and contains hundreds of rooms, staircases and formal state halls.
